Debrief provided integrated Communications Consulting Services to Orange (Contractor) and the municipality of Heraklion for the promotion of the project “Heraklion: Every step…a journey in history”. The project was awarded following a public tender, where Debrief submitted an Integrated Proposal for Strategic Communication and then took on the implementation of the project.

Objective of the Project

Providing information and raising awareness among residents of Heraklion in Crete (especially in the region surrounding the Venetian Walls) about the technical projects carried out in this region.

Target-audiences

Broad audience (residents) of the Municipality of Heraklion, Children – Students of schools in this region, Teaching/Academic staff, Political Leadership, Social Bodies.

Actions

  • Creative Design of the Action Identity
  • Concept-Key Message “Heraklion: Every step…a journey in history”
  • Video Production (Musical and theatrical performance inside the Venetian Walls)
  • Design and Production of a Walking Map for the Municipality, indicating “pathways” (through the volunteer project carried out in schools, where the students “drew” the places-monuments of the map)
  • Organisation of a Children’s Fairy Tale Workshop, where the young students have created (with the help of an educator) an “original fairy tale”, in which “Nikos” (Kazantzakis) is walking in the Municipality of Heraklion. The fairy tale was printed and distributed among schools
  • Organisation of Presentation Events for the project (main event, students award ceremony and street event)
  • Design and production of a General Informational Leaflet for the project as a whole
  • Design and production of supporting material (Roll Up Banners, Poster, Invitations etc.)
